We certainly do, and we have agents and installers around the country. Get in touch to find out more.

TigerTurf’s synthetic grass is made from either polypropylene or polyethylene yarn depending on its end-use. These materials are durable and U.V stabilised, sourced from TenCate Grass, the world’s leading yarn manufacturer. The yarn is tufted into a polypropylene backing cloth and rubber backed for maximum turf retention.

TigerTurf synthetic turf supplied in the Asia Pacific region is manufactured in Auckland, New Zealand. Auckland is the birthplace of TigerTurf, which is now a worldwide manufacturer and we are proud to still be tufting artificial grass after 39 years.

There are also manufacturing facilities in Kidderminster, in the United Kingdom, that export artificial grass throughout Europe and the Middle East, and Austin, Texas that supplies North and South America.

We offer a wide range of sports and landscape systems for all levels of users and budgets.

How much your TigerTurf will cost depends on a range of different variables such as the type of turf, layout, base preparation, access to sites, end-use and intensity of use. Most of our customers require custom systems or systems that are required to meet stringent sport governing bodies.

TigerTurf works with a network of construction professionals who can provide you with a cost for your TigerTurf system. Drop us an email for more information.

The life expectancy of any turf product is dependent on the amount of use it gets, the types of sports played on it and the type of yarn used in the manufacturing process. Generally, we have a life expectancy of approximately15 years, some have gone on to 20 plus years, but we would expect (depending on the level of usage) for your surface to last 10 to 15 years.

There have been a lot of recent claims regarding the safety, health and environmental issues associated with synthetic grass. There are numerous reports from highly reputable independent sources that conclude that synthetic surfaces are safe and do not have a negative impact on humans or the environment. For more information, give us a call or drop us an email.

You can do pretty much whatever you want with your TigerTurf, we’ve even had people cover their cars with it!
However, we recommend you infill and carry out maintenance on your lawn to get the most out of it. Rolling up and storing your grass may cause the pile to become flat and lines and creases may appear.
It also becomes more difficult to infill, as sand will need to be removed before it’s stored. Your TigerTurf may not last as long and you won’t get the same result as when it’s laid permanently, infilled and maintained.

We do not recommend driving vehicles on the turf but if you must, then we suggest driving slowly and in straight lines. We would recommend laying plywood on top of the turf to avoid direct damage.

Sports

There are many reasons, but the main ones are that users are more active and participate more on synthetic pitches, the rate and severity of injuries are reduced and because of the consistency and accessibility of the all-weather surfaces, students can reach their full potential on top-class playing surfaces.
Being all-weather surfaces, they are open 24/7 and fixtures are not cancelled because of bad weather. Many different sports and games can be played on the same surface maximising available capacity and maintenance is significantly reduced.

TigerTurf has maintenance guidelines for all our surfaces. You should receive a maintenance guide once your pitch is completed.

Regular turf maintenance will vary depending on the trees around your surroundings; you may be required to blow leaves off when required or spray for mould/moss in shaded areas.

If you’re still unsure, get in touch and one of our team will be happy to help.

TigerTurf has a maintenance division that undertakes regular maintenance for many of our sports turf customers. TigerTurf will assess your courts and provide you with a quote for maintenance and you can also sign up to TigerTurf’s maintenance programme.

Yes. We take pride in delivering quality systems and stand firmly behind them. Although the length of our product warranties varies depending on the surface, it covers manufacturing workmanship, fit for purpose, UV degradation, and significant fading.

In addition, many of the contractors we work with regularly offer warranties for their products (i.e. sub bases) and services.

For gym sled tracks, we would recommend a product made with a texturized, monofilament yarn like Advantage, Evo Pro or Trophy. Indoor installations of synthetic turf must comply with the building code with the appropriate fire testing certification for your building. View TigerTurf NZ’s Fire Risk Statement here.

Tennis, Netball, Hockey, Football, Athletics, Basketball and Cricket can all be played on one surface as well as general PE and other games and activities.

More dedicated surfaces can be installed to cater specifically to Football, Hockey, Rugby and Cricket.

Absolutely, our surfaces can be installed directly onto a concrete pad with little if any base preparation. In fact, it is the best performing base for our surfaces.
We have several turfs that make excellent Multi-Sport surfaces for Tennis and Hockey but also Netball & Football.

If you experience field closures, flooding, constant rescheduling of activities, lack of space, lack of use, high maintenance costs, or any other issues with your natural grass pitches, then synthetic turf will probably be a better solution and provide a positive outcome. Our advanced turf technology is designed to replicate the best natural grass fields. TigerTurf systems offer unrivaled playability, durability, and performance all year round. With a TigerTurf pitch, you can play better for longer.

Yes, TigerTurf systems have specially designed drainage holes placed consistently throughout the turf to ensure water sheds quickly and efficiently and does not pool on the surface.
Sub bases upon which TigerTurf systems are installed should be designed to provide superior drainage properties as well. Recommended specifications are available from TigerTurf to help ensure the entire system, sub-base to blades of grass, drains appropriately for years to come.

TigerTurf has a range of different colours depending on the type of turf you require. Options include olive green, forest green, light blue, dark blue, brick and red. This range of colours is based on our most requested and most popular.

The line-markings that mark out the sports parametres are tufted into the surface at manufacture where possible. Otherwise, they are cut and glued into the turf during the installation process.

The turf is loose laid over the asphalt and glued at the seems and directly to the surface around the perimeter. This is so we do not require smooth concrete or asphalt base. The turf is then generally infilled with sand and/or granular infill which provide support to the grass fibres thereby improving performance in wear and visual appearance.

We do not recommend vacuuming your TigerTurf as it will remove the sand infill, causing your lawn to go flat. Use a brush or a rake to remove any leaves or debris.

Yes, TigerTurf landscape grass looks perfect poolside.

Synthetic grass is very resistant to staining. Spills can be cleaned easily. Damage to the grass can be repaired, in a similar method to repairing carpet.

We work with a network of maintenance partners that can help with any repairs or damage to your TigerTurf.

Once the grass had been installed, it should then be in-filled with the correct specification and quantity of sand.

The infill is important because it provides weight to the carpet and helps provide support to the grass fibres thereby improving performance in wear and visual appearance of the lawn.

The synthetic grass must be laid on a suitable base. This can be crushed rock (similar to a paving base) asphalt, concrete (porous or non-porous)or timber. The base should be constructed and prepared to ensure the grass is laid flat and looks natural and great.
