TigerTurf began in 1981 with one goal, to make quality synthetic surfaces for New Zealand conditions. Four decades later, we’re still the country’s only turf manufacturer, and continue to make all our products right here at home.
Our surfaces are ‘Kiwi-strong’, designed to meet the challenge of scorching summers, serious athletes, and a country that loves to spend time outdoors. From championship pitches to family backyards, our turf takes it all in stride.
With decades of experience and a reputation for excellence, TigerTurf products are high-quality, high-performance, and backed by a UV warranty of up to 10 years.

R&D
When Insight Meets Innovation
We manufacture everything in-house so that we can control quality from the ground up. We extrude our own yarns, develop our own backings, and even engineer performance bases for underneath the turf, so that surfaces look and feel the way they should, and keep doing so for years.
This approach also means that we can innovate quickly. Working alongside TenCate’s global R&D team, we use our local insight combined with leading fibre technology to create surfaces that are safer, stronger, and more resilient. And when a turf reaches the end of its life, our recycling capability lets us turn old product into new materials, closing the loop as part of our sustainability focus.

Peter Leeves
Asia Pacific Director
Peter leads TigerTurf Australia & New Zealand and TenCate Grass operations across Asia Pacific. With 17+ years in artificial turf, his expertise spans product design, manufacturing, testing and surface performance. He has delivered major sports projects in New Zealand, East Timor, Malaysia and India, plus LED sports lighting since 2016.
Blair Hopping
Operations Manager
A former New Zealand hockey Olympian, Blair knows what world-class sports surfaces need to deliver. He has developed specialist expertise in hockey, cricket and Early Learning Centre surfacing, and with 14+ years of project management experience now leads TigerTurf's installation division and its team of more than 40 staff.
George Lewis
National Sales Manager
George joined TigerTurf in 2020 and progressed from sales support to Business Development Manager for the Upper North Island before taking on the national role. A University of Birmingham and Keio University graduate, he works closely with schools to design vibrant, visually striking sports courts and outdoor spaces.
Shamiksha
Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager
Shamiksha has over seven years of quality assurance and environmental sustainability experience in food manufacturing and production. Qualified in Environmental Science, she specialises in audits, compliance monitoring, safety checks and environmental reporting, and has led internal and external audits while training and supporting teams of 60-plus staff
Ross Galloway
Bowls Specialist & Export Sales
With over 25 years across civil works, sports surface installation and bowling green specialisation, Ross knows what makes a green perform. He has delivered natural and synthetic bowling greens across New Zealand, the Pacific and Asia, and is well respected in the bowls community for his practical, reliable approach.
Sean Rogers
Business Development Manager - Major Projects
Sean has been with TigerTurf for over five years and recently moved into a role overseeing major projects. He specialises in early childhood education and tennis facilities, and holds a Level 2 Operational Inspection of Children's Playgrounds certificate. He previously held senior sales and marketing roles in South Africa.
Jason Adriaanse
Business Development Manager
Jason brings a decade of sales experience to TigerTurf, working closely with clients and supply partners. With a passion for sports and multipurpose design, he helps schools and communities create functional, inspiring spaces.
Dwayne Haare
Business Development Manager
Dwayne brings a background in elite sport and business ownership to TigerTurf. A professional rugby player in France for 12 years, he went on to own and operate an F45 Training studio, building it through community partnerships. He also holds structural and civil engineering qualifications.
Steve Ryder
Project Manager
Steve has spent more than 30 years in sports turf installation with TigerTurf, joining in 1994 and becoming a team leader a year later. He has led complex projects across New Zealand and Southeast Asia, and since 2017 has been Project Manager, overseeing delivery and mentoring installation teams.
Randal Bartholomew
Project Manager
Randal started as an installer in 2018 and progressed through team leader to project manager, overseeing education, tennis and cricket projects across the Lower North Island. A hockey player for Manawatu and his Auckland club, he regularly competes on the same TigerTurf surfaces he helps install.
Mike Duffy
Project Manager
Mike joined TigerTurf in 2008 as a casual tufter operator while completing his carpentry certificate, joining the construction team in 2015. Promoted to Construction Team Leader in 2019, he oversaw major projects and mentored new team members, and has recently been promoted again to Project Manager.
Dan Daniels
Installation Team Supervisor
Dan has been with TigerTurf since 2003, starting as a part-time installation technician and becoming Installation Team Leader in 2015. Known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail, he leads installation teams across a range of projects and mentors the next generation of turf installers.
Muriel Abu
Sales Support
An architecture graduate from the University of Santo Tomas, Muriel began her career as a Junior Project Architect before joining TigerTurf in 2022. She moved from roll planning to Production Planner within six months and now works in Sales Support, bringing a design background to tailored customer solutions.
Francesca Hughes
Sales Support
Francesca brings eight years of customer service experience to TigerTurf, including six years managing the floor at a busy Auckland restaurant. She has also held contract administration roles across a range of businesses, developing strong skills in systems, workflows and detail-focused support.
Frankie Chan
Regional Marketing Coordinator
Frankie is a marketing professional specialising in brand management, campaigns and creative content. At TigerTurf they coordinate regional marketing across digital campaigns, website management, events and sales enablement. Previous roles across healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing and retail added expertise in stakeholder management, event coordination, photography and visual storytelling.
