Artificial Turf for Hockey Pitches

TigerTurf’s WETT Pro system was installed at Northland Hockey Association’s Pitch 2 in Whangārei, delivering an elite-level hockey surface designed for both competition and training. Covering 6,120 sqm, the upgrade supports international standards and builds on earlier lighting improvements to create a high-quality, versatile facility. The new surface has been warmly received by the local hockey community and strengthens the venue’s ability to support player development and host regional competitions.

TigerTurf’s WETT Pro system was installed at Lugtons Turf 2 at the Gallagher Hockey Centre in Hamilton, delivering an international-standard hockey surface for the Waikato region. Covering 6,185 sqm, the upgrade enhances performance, safety, and durability while supporting both competition and training. Delivered with a strong focus on sustainability, the project minimised waste and reinforces the venue’s role as a premier hockey facility for players and the wider community.

TigerTurf resurfaced the main pitch at North Harbour Hockey Stadium with 6,000m² of WETT Pro, delivering a world-class playing surface capable of hosting international hockey events. North Harbour Hockey required a high-performance, FIH-compliant surface that could withstand intensive year-round use while supporting the organisation's role as a host of major national and international tournaments. Installed on the existing base, the WETT Pro system features TigerTurf's advanced texturised monofilament yarn technology, creating a grain-free surface that delivers consistent ball roll, smooth stick movement, enhanced durability, and excellent player safety. The surface was also designed to perform with limited water usage and provide rapid drainage during winter conditions. The project was completed within a tight construction window to minimise disruption to the local hockey community. Following installation, North Harbour Hockey praised the surface for its performance, durability, and drainage capabilities, describing it as the best hockey surface the organisation had experienced.

The Waitākere Regional Hockey Turf Trust upgraded its hockey field at Henderson High School with a new TigerTurf installation, completed in January 2026. The 5,765 sqm project replaced an ageing, poorly draining surface with a recycled Ecocept shock pad and an elite WETT Pro hockey turf, delivering improved drainage, player safety, and consistent high-performance play. Supported by strong community involvement and delivered with a clear focus on sustainability, the upgrade has created a durable, world-class facility that supports year-round hockey for both school and community use.
