The Project

TigerTurf professional services brilliantly revive worn, unusable courts with quality tennis turfs

The new tennis court was to be the feature of the special celebration planned with friends and family outdoors in the summer; therefore, the project was an urgent one and we set to work to have this special project ready in time for our client. The TigerTurf team began by removing the disintegrating old surface, by now unrecognisable as a tennis surface. We tidied up the old asphalt court to prepare it as a level, free-draining base for the TigerTurf Tournament 1000 tennis surface. With the base ready, the TigerTurf team pressed on to the most exciting part of the project for our client.

The fresh, bright green TigerTurf Tournament 1000 tennis surface was marked for tennis in permanent clear white lines. A magical transformation for our client, whose anxiety about the imminent event was immediately dispelled by delight and pride. Our swift response to her need for an attractive fresh high-performance TigerTurf tennis court within a short time produced an outstanding result in time for the party planned by our client.

With the home being a new build, the brief centred on creating a tidy, durable landscape that would complement the clean architectural lines of the property. The developer was building his rental portfolio and wanted a surface that would present well during viewings, stay consistent year‑round, and reduce the ongoing maintenance burden for tenants. The 35m² area was modest, but the expectation for a polished finish meant every stage of the installation needed to be well‑planned.

Jellicoe Park Tennis Club

TigerTurf carried out the full construction of two fantastic TigerTurf Tournament 1000 tennis courts for Jellicoe Park Tennis Club and the Auckland Council. Two new courts were needed in addition to the existing four courts to accommodate the burgeoning membership of this popular club. The splendid new courts look amazing, and the members are proud of their high-performance TigerTurf Tournament 1000 courts TigerTurf was asked to undertake the full construction of two new tennis courts for Jellicoe Park Tennis Club and the Auckland Council. The project included constructing the aggregate base, building the fencing and installing two new fixed tennis net posts, completed in style with the installation of the TigerTurf Tournament 1000 multi-sport turf, an excellent tennis surface for club, school and residential use
