The TigerTurf construction team lifted and disposed of the old surface and filled in the old stump holes before installing the TigerTurf Premier cricket surface. This sports turf provides an excellent cricket surface for durable, high-use wickets in schools and clubs, and has been especially designed to offer reliable performance qualities in all weather for younger cricketers.

Worn practice cricket nets turned into safe, level, attractive cricket practice wickets

The surface of the old turf was uneven, posing trip hazards that cause injuries to bowlers, and can cause balls to fly up erratically for batters. We constructed a new base for the durable Tournament 1000. This formed a safe, even bowlers’ run-up surface, raising the level of the bowlers’ end to that of the wicket by building it up with extra material. We then compacted and levelled the base material to 100mm, before installing TigerTurf Tournament 1000, creating a safe, smooth surface for the bowlers to use all year, even soon after rainfall. TigerTurf Tournament 1000 is a durable, well-proven sports surface, frequently requested by schools and clubs to replace previous TigerTurf Tournament 1000 turfs worn out by years of happy use.

The TigerTurf cricket nets at Glendowie College have attracted dozens of enthusiastic cricketers to join the school teams, just as the school hoped. The inviting green perfection of the new practice nets has made them the popular hub of cricket at the college. Now practice afternoons resound with the thud of ball on bat amid shouts of encouragement and praise. Glendowie College is delighted with the continuing success of its new performance sports facility for encouraging and developing existing and new teams at the school. TigerTurf was asked to construct new, two-lane cricket nets to provide a training facility for current and future school cricket teams. The college had no practice cricket nets and wanted us to construct attractive, high-performance practice wickets to encourage more college students to play cricket and to develop the skills of school teams at every level. The new nets had to be suitable for training top grades of school cricket teams, as the plan was to build the profile of cricket within the school and to eventually have teams ready to play in the upper grades of school cricket competitions.

St Paul’s College Artificial Turf Cricket Nets

TigerTurf was especially privileged to be asked to fully manage a project to build a new, robust, three-lane cricket net at St Paul’s College, Ponsonby, and to be part of the school’s programme intended to encourage students to play in cricket teams at all levels. The school has now the advantage of having former Black Cap, Dion Nash, as a new parent at the school and keen to coach bowlers in the First XI, in partnership with the Deputy Principal, Craig Borich, a former First-Class cricketer who will coach batting and manage the development team.

Mt Albert Grammar’s Indoor Artificial Cricket Turf hits the jackpot with Students

TigerTurf's Premier artificial cricket turf completed the newly constructed Indoor cricket practice facility, commissioned by Mt Albert Grammar. This amazing new facility was in response to a need for its cricketers to train all year round to develop the skills to become top-level cricketers. And we know that New Zealand’s future cricket heroes are amongst those practicing in this superb cricket facility.

Action Indoor Sports resurfaces with Premier Indoor

The Premier Indoor cricket-wicket replaces flood-damaged surface. “The colour scheme is fantastic and brings the sports area to life; the new surface is great to play on.” The new TigerTurf Premier Indoor turf at Action Indoor Sports, Pakuranga, met with enthusiastic praise from members as the Centre re-opened its doors after New Year.

My Nets High Tech Cricket Coaching facilities

Specialised cricket coaching facilities installed by My Nets have been given a work out and thumbs up by one of New Zealand’s best batsmen, Rob Nicol, a former Black Cap and currently captain of the Otago cricket team. The TigerTurf Premier Indoor cricket wicket was the finishing touch for these technical cricket practice wickets.

A cricket practice facility on home turf
