TENCATE GRASS Sine pad offers extra benefits in functionality and sustainability

TigerTurf carried out remedial asphalt patching to bring the court surface up to the standard required to support the completed courts. Then the TENCATE GRASS Sine pad was installed for many fantastic qualities that future-proof the site. Drainage is simplified by a system of linked cells that draw surface water efficiently from the turf to the drains. The structure of the Sine pad minimises any base imperfections to maintain a perfectly level court surface. As a safety pad, Sine outshines others with its ability to cushion impact, creating safer playing conditions for students during sport and while enjoying recreational play with friends.

TigerTurf Trophy multi-sports courts

TigerTurf Trophy was chosen for its superb multi-sport qualities, advanced yarn technology that requires less sand infill, increased durability, and a softer finish that is less abrasive on knees and elbows. Trophy comes in a variety of bright engaging colours that attract students and the attention of passers-by. No wonder TigerTurf Trophy is the most popular surface for New Zealand schools.

The new brief focused on upgrading a concrete base area into a vibrant 656m² multicourt and games zone designed to support a range of activities for students of all ages.

Bairds Mainfreight Primary School

TigerTurf’s longstanding partnership with Baird’s Mainfreight Primary School reached new heights in 2023 with the transformation of a 300 SQM derelict area into a vibrant, multi-purpose games space. Located in Auckland, the project replaced a fenced-off patch of grass where an old classroom once stood.

Hunterville School

TigerTurf was engaged by Hunterville School to develop an engaging and versatile games area covering 286 m² on an existing asphalt base in Hunterville. Work began in early 2025, with planning focusing on a surface that could accommodate a wide range of play activities suited for imaginative games. By July 2025, the installation of TigerTurf’s “Trophy” product was completed, featuring an olive-green base carpet complemented by colourful game markings. The layout showcased a number snake, alpha blocks, and assorted shapes—all carefully painted in vibrant tones—encouraging creativity and learning as part of everyday play.

St Benedict’s School

In July 2025, TigerTurf completed a 630-square-metre multi-court installation at St Benedict’s School in Wellington, working in collaboration with Tracer Construction. The goal was to deliver a durable, all-weather surface that could support a range of sports and activities, while also enhancing the school’s outdoor environment. The final result was a vibrant, dual-marked netball and basketball court featuring a blue inner playing area framed by an olive green outer zone—both functional and visually appealing.

Mangawhai Beach School

TigerTurf NZ recently collaborated with Mangawhai Beach School to enhance their sports facilities. Situated in the scenic town of Mangawhai, the school aimed to upgrade their courts to provide a superior sporting experience for both students and the local community. The project involved the installation of TigerTurf’s premium Advantage product, renowned for its durability and performance.

South Karamata Intermediate School

Christchurch South Karamata Intermediate School recently completed a dynamic upgrade to its outdoor sports facilities, designed to support a wide range of athletic activities and enhance student engagement. The school partnered with Multisport Surface, a certified agent for TigerTurf New Zealand, to deliver a high-performance synthetic turf solution tailored to the school’s needs.

Matawai School

In March 2024, TigerTurf completed the installation of a new 558m² multicourt at Matawai School, located in the rural Gisborne region. The school was looking for a durable, multi-use surface that could support a variety of sports and activities for its students. TigerTurf worked closely with the school to deliver a vibrant, dual-marked court that would enhance both structured physical education and informal play.

Makarewa School

Makarewa School, located just north of Invercargill, had a vision to revitalise its ageing outdoor court into a vibrant, multi-use facility that would serve its students and wider community for years to come. After three years of dedicated fundraising and planning, the school’s efforts came to fruition in April 2025 with the completion of an 880m² multi-sport court, installed by TigerTurf in collaboration with Southern Turf and Sports.
