Creating a dramatic, low maintenance entry

The two lawn areas rise above the pavement and drive to display the graceful palms at the entrance – an attractive landscape feature in a prime spot, but not easy to maintain. For our client, it presented a problem area instead of an impressive welcome for visitors and family.

TigerTurf was engaged to upgrade a 396m² outdoor area at a residential property in Papamoa, creating a low maintenance, year-round green space that complemented the home’s coastal setting. Working with local agent BayTurf, the team installed TigerTurf’s NRG 2 infill-free turf over an existing asphalt base to achieve a clean, contemporary finish with uniform colour and minimal upkeep.

Private Residence in Fitzroy

Taranaki Turf Doctors was engaged to support the development of a new residential property in Fitzroy, where the client wanted an outdoor space that would look sharp from day one and continue to perform well for future tenants. With the home being a new build, the brief centred on creating a tidy, durable landscape that would complement the clean architectural lines of the property. The developer was building his rental portfolio and wanted a surface that would present well during viewings, stay consistent year‑round, and reduce the ongoing maintenance burden for tenants. The 35m² area was modest, but the expectation for a polished finish meant every stage of the installation needed to be well‑planned.

TigerTurf’s clients had recently left their home on a lifestyle block in Taranaki for a home in town with a much smaller garden. After years of maintaining an acre of lawn they were now ready to enjoy more free time with less time spent in mowing and maintaining their new garden. They asked TigerTurf to recommend the right lawn for their lifestyle and home. TigerTurf Serenity 30 proved to be the perfect solution to their problem – releasing them from lawn care to enjoy activities and holidays without having to arrange for the lawn to be mowed regularly. TigerTurf reinvented the meaning of residential tennis court for a delighted Mt Eden client by bringing an unplayable, unattractive old court to energetic life with a brilliant velvet green, technical TigerTurf Tournament 1000 tennis surface. In the leafy retreat of our Mt Eden client, the fantastic TigerTurf Tournament tennis court is a superb court for family and friends to come and enjoy tennis fun with her. The rich green tennis court has become a fabulous garden feature as well as a high-quality tennis court that beautifully rejuvenated an unusable, unsightly old court infested with damp moss and mould that spoiled the family’s enjoyment of the garden. Resurfacing the tennis court with TigerTurf Tournament 1000 would give the client an excellent, all-weather tennis surface for play at every level. And there was no time to waste – our client was soon to host a very special event which included tennis, clearly impossible on the tennis court as it was. Therefore, TigerTurf had come to resolve her problem quickly.
