TigerTurf donates to Afghanistan War Veteran

TigerTurf donated synthetic grass to the home of U.S. Army Ranger Sgt. First Class Cory Remsburg on Friday, March 13, 2015, in Gilbert, Arizona through Synthetic Grass Warehouse, the United States exclusive TigerTurf distributor.

In conjunction with TigerTurf supplies, Accent Landscaping donated their installation time for this project, as well.

After a heartfelt speech given by President Obama, who paid a visit after his stop at the Veteran Affairs in Phoenix, Sergeant Remsburg was welcomed into his new home by hundreds of family, friends and media, according to a New York Times article.

“’The greatest honor of my life is serving as Commander in Chief of the greatest military the world’s ever known,’” Mr. Obama told media. “’Never give up, never give in’ attitude was the kind of thing that keeps me going.’”

While deployed in Afghanistan, Sergeant Remsburg and his platoon experienced a devastating roadside bomb, which left Remsburg with severe head injuries and rendered him comatose for three months. Through Jared Allen Homes for Wounded Warriors, Sergeant Remsburg received a home specifically designed to meet his needs.

Victor Lanfranco, co-owner of Synthetic Grass Warehouse, maintains a special commitment to foundations dedicated to improving the lives of United States veterans. As a veteran from the Vietnam era, Lanfranco dedicates a portion of his business to the armed services.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be put in a position where we can help this American hero,” said Lanfranco. “We never turn our backs on our heroes.”
