Freyberg High is already the school of choice for many overseas students, and, with the new sports centre, the school has become even more attractive to parents who are assessing the best New Zealand option for their child.
The school sees investing in their sports facility as a great way to increase its already strong international student contingent. Popular with the present students, the general roll is also expected to grow in response to the fantastic new sports facility. The students no longer have to travel to external training facilities; the school no longer has to pay for them.
Training has become more flexible and convenient, while logistics are no longer a headache for families and staff. Of course, the training has moved up several notches on this superb turf surface. The students can work more effectively on improving their technical game, and teams in the wider community have a first-class sports turf to train on out of school hours.
The local schools and sports teams love the new facility, and are eager to book practice sessions on it – good news for Freyberg High School!
