A crisp green TigerTurf Trophy multi-sports court where once was a swampy patch of ground? Now that’s much more fun.

The TigerTurf Trophy multi-sports surface has clear white marking lines for tennis, with darker marking lines for basketball. And, with a flash of inspiration, our client asked us to add golf putting cups, which we were delighted to do.

A multi-sport court is fun for the whole family

An unloved patch of mud and gravel was converted to a superb high-performance multi-sport court that will continue to be a family asset as the children begin to play different school sports through the years.

For now, the dry, level surface makes a wonderful play area for young children. The smooth turf is just the ticket for trikes and pull-along toys. And when it is party time, the family has a perfect venue ready for the marquee.

With a pleasant, smooth surface for sun umbrellas, deck chairs and tables, entertaining large groups or enjoying family picnics on summer evenings becomes simple.

TigerTurf Trophy

TigerTurf Trophy is a dressed surface designed for multi-sport use in schools and clubs. It is excellent for hockey* and tennis and meets the exacting standards of an FIH National category sand dressed field as well as being ITF fast paced certified. It also provides consistent performance for sports such as basketball, netball and playgrounds, as well as a brilliant multi-purpose surface suitable for general Gym use.

Constructing a sturdy, free-draining sub-base to support the court

Crushed rock was brought to the site and compacted to form a base, upon which we completed the final base layer with finer drainage material, before stabilising the whole structure with TigerBond to support and drain the multi-sport surface.

Our client built stronger retaining walls along either side of the site to hold the bank securely in place and, when the surface was installed, the picture was complete.
