Multi-Sports
The school faced several challenges with its existing outdoor spaces. Bothersome and redundant planter boxes cluttered the grounds, limiting the available space for student activities. Additionally, a grass area outside one of the classrooms frequently became wet and muddy, rendering it unusable for much of the year. TigerTurf’s innovative solution addressed these issues head-on. They removed the cumbersome planter boxes to open up more functional space and replaced the problematic grass area with a vibrant games area. This new, all-weather surface not only solved the drainage problem but also fostered creativity and interactive play among the students. TigerTurf also addressed the school’s aging netball court, which had seen better days and was in dire need of an upgrade.
To maintain the school’s cohesive aesthetic, TigerTurf resurfaced the court using their high-quality materials, matching the existing colorway of Red and Dark Green. This signature color scheme, now emblematic of St Mary MacKillop Catholic School, not only refreshed the court’s appearance but also reinforced the school’s identity and pride. The revitalized court now stands as a vibrant and durable space for students to enjoy for years to come.
In addition to the resurfaced courts, TigerTurf enhanced the school grounds with a variety of engaging games installed onto the sides of the new courts. These included an Alphabet Snake, custom-colored to match the school’s signature Red and Dark Green, as well as number squares and 4-squares. These interactive features provide numerous benefits, promoting physical activity, encouraging learning through play, and fostering social interaction among students. The integration of these games transforms the courts into dynamic, multifunctional spaces that support both educational and recreational activities.
