Case Studies
TigerTurf completed a full multicourt resurfacing project for St Paul’s Primary School in Auckland in January 2026, working in partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Auckland to refresh an important play and sports space for the school community. The existing turf had reached the end of its life, so TigerTurf began by uplifting and disposing of the old surface before turning attention to restoring the 2,094 sqm aggregate base. Once the base was regraded to ensure an even and reliable foundation, the team applied TigerBonding, a bonding system designed to improve the adhesion between the aggregate base and the new turf. This creates a stable, unified platform that helps extend the durability and long-term performance of the surface, particularly important for high-use school environments.

TigerTurf’s installation approach ensured that each sport could comfortably coexist within the space without compromising usability. For younger players, the medium-height pile and reliable traction make it easier to move confidently and safely across the court during active play, while the all weather nature of the surface increases the availability of the courts throughout the school year. Teachers and coaches gain a dependable facility that remains playable soon after rainfall, reducing interruptions to scheduled sport and physical education.
The completed resurfacing has given St Paul’s Primary School a revitalised, bright, and versatile playing area designed to support a broad range of sports and activities. With a renewed base, long lasting Tournament 1000 turf, and a clear multi code layout, the school now has a high performance facility that will serve students for many years. The project reflects TigerTurf’s ongoing commitment to creating practical, durable and enjoyable sports environments for New Zealand schools, ensuring students have more opportunities to play, learn and stay active.
