Case Studies
TigerTurf partnered with the Catholic Diocese of Auckland to complete a full multicourt resurfacing project for Stella Maris Primary School in Silverdale, finished in January 2026. The school’s existing surface had reached the end of its life, so TigerTurf began by removing the worn material and disposing of it responsibly. Once the court was cleared, the underlying aggregate base was exposed and prepared. This preparation work ensured the ground was flat and ready for resurfacing, setting the foundation for a reliable, long lasting facility that would support daily school use.

Multi-Sports
For Stella Maris Primary School, the court markings included one basketball court, one netball court, and a Tapu Ae layout, all installed cleanly onto the olive green inner and dark green outer turf. Trophy’s multi-sport versatility means it accommodates these differing line systems without compromising performance. The surface reacts positively to changes in ball spin and movement, and its firm traction supports quick stops, turns, and transitions—ideal for fast-moving school activities. Teachers and students now benefit from a surface that can be used year round, wet or dry, thanks to the turf’s dependable all weather qualities.
The revitalised court has brought new energy to the school’s outdoor space. By combining careful preparation with a surface designed for multi-sport use, TigerTurf has delivered an area that supports both structured sport and general play. The updated colours and clear line markings have given Stella Maris a fresh, engaging facility that invites students to get outside and be active. With Trophy’s durability and the strengthened base beneath it, the school can look forward to many years of reliable use, knowing the new surface is built to handle the demands of a lively primary environment.
“Our students are loving being back on the turf and both teachers and students have been making great use of it during break times and for PE lessons…” – Catherine Cyprian – Principal
