In 2017 the previous TigerTurf surface was badly damaged by floodwaters and had to be replaced. TigerTurf was asked to install a surface that was safe for indoor use, and suitable for the many activities that are enjoyed at this popular, high-use facility.
Social team sports competitions, children’s sports camps, and adult fitness classes keep the centre busy. Business social cricket teams compete fiercely after work hours; indoor soccer and netball teams book the facility in the evenings; children’s events are well attended at the weekends, after school and in the holidays; while adult fitness groups use the centre during the day.

TigerTurf worked in partnership with the insurance company to remove the damaged surface and rubber shock pad. We installed the gleaming new TigerTurf Premier Indoor surface with a new rubber shock pad laid beneath the surface, and all within the period of closure.
The Premier sports turf provides excellent playing qualities for ball sports, including consistent bounce and turn for cricket players, and will retain these qualities throughout years of heavy use.

The design of the Premier Indoor surface uses contrasting vibrant colours for high visibility in fast-moving ball games. The surface resists the wear and tear of everyday use.
TigerTurf Premier also meets all fire safety regulations for indoor use and does not require sand infill as many turfs do. Easily cleaned, it doesn’t absorb odours and does absorb sound – all excellent qualities for a multi-use surface, as this popular sports venue becomes lively when the action begins.
