The Synthetic Turf drew in more members and other sports

The Uni-Mt Wellington Club home ground and stadium at Bill McKinlay Park was normally closed 5 months of the year. The club had a declining membership issue.

Designed to meet the FIFA 2* testing standards

Commissioned by the Mt Wellington Stadium Trust, TigerTurf completed the full design and build working closely with the Mt Wellington Stadium Trust and the Auckland Council throughout the project, which was designed to meet the FIFA 2* testing standards.

On Time and On Budget!

The contract to build a TigerTurf synthetic turf was signed on 1st April 2011. Playing commenced 9 weeks later; on time and within budget.

Full build, manufacture and installation supply project

TigerTurf completed the project with paths, fencing, and accessories such as goals, corner flags, and dug-outs.

The location of the field required TigerTurf to submit detailed Traffic Management and Health and Safety Plans as well as Environment & Quality standards to the Auckland Council.

The outcome for the Client:

Teams increased from 12 in 2010 to 27 in 2012.
Along with the football teams the facility is now used by Touch, Tag Football, 5-a-Side Football and Ultimate Frisbee teams.
Field utilised by other local clubs and schools whilst their own grounds were closed.
