Fairfield Intermediate School in Hamilton partnered with TigerTurf to upgrade its sports facilities in two stages during 2023. Stage 1 introduced basketball and volleyball courts with Trophy and Vista 35 XWR surfaces for durability and comfort. Stage 2 resurfaced multiple courts with the high-performance Advantage surface. A Game-Changer: Fairfield Intermediate’s Multi-Sport Upgrade with TigerTurf

The project at Fairfield Intermediate School was divided into two stages. Stage 1, completed in April 2023, focused on the installation of basketball and volleyball courts, along with a landscaped area. This stage covered an area of 730 square meters and utilized TigerTurf's Trophy and Vista 35 XWR surfaces. Stage 2, completed in September 2023, involved resurfacing multiple courts, including tennis, netball, basketball, and hockey courts, using the Advantage surface. This comprehensive approach ensured that the school had state-of-the-art facilities for a wide range of sports, catering to both current and future needs.

TigerTurf Brings New Energy to Fairfield Intermediate School

The installation of TigerTurf surfaces significantly enhanced the sports infrastructure at Fairfield Intermediate School. The new facilities provided students with high-quality, safe, and durable surfaces for various sports, encouraging greater participation and fostering a love for physical activity.

TigerTurf’s Trophy and Vista 35 XWR surfaces, used in Stage 1, offered several benefits. The Trophy surface, with its medium pile and texturized monofilament, provided an ideal playing surface for tennis and other sports. Its durability and low-maintenance requirements made it a cost-effective choice for the school. The Vista 35 XWR surface, designed to replicate natural grass, offered a soft and comfortable feel underfoot, making it perfect for playgrounds and landscaped areas. Its high durability and UV stabilization ensured that it remained lush and green throughout the year, with minimal maintenance.
