The Hampden Street School Story

The Hampden Street School Story

The drab, uninspiring grey asphalt slab that once half-heartedly offered tennis and netball on worn courts at Hampden Street
School are common to many schools.
Vibrantly Coloured Multisport

Vibrantly Coloured Multisport

Time for a change; and now the students
love their bright, vibrantly coloured multisport
courts. The tennis courts shine in
blue and white, alongside the warmly
inviting terracotta basketball, netball,
football court, all edged in green turf.

TigerTurf Tournament

Tournament is a reliable, quality tennis surface made
by TigerTurf and is a good value investment for
recreational tennis and schools multi-sports court.
It is a medium pile, sand filled, fibrillated tennis
surface. Its hardwearing, versatile yarn makes it
suitable for courts of all types from private homes to
tennis clubs and multisport use in schools.

High Level Performance

An extremely durable surface, TigerTurf Tournament has been designed to give a high level of performance for several sports. This all-weather sports turf drains and dries quickly after rain, so the courts are ready for the next class to rush out and spring into action.

Reliably non-slip in the wettest conditions, the TigerTurf Tournament courts encourage active children to throw themselves enthusiastically into their games without the cuts and bruises that occur on hard surfaces. They also return to the classroom without the mud that has been part of winter for as long as  teachers can remember.

Our TigerTurf agent, Southern Turf in Blenheim, collaborated with Hampden Street School in the design of those popular courts, which include all the sports that children enjoy so much. Now  the students can practise before and after school, as well as during the school day.

Just as the school had hoped, the new courts are encouraging the development of social and physical skills, and, above all, better fitness for healthy students.
