“Thanks so much to Grassroots Trust for helping us achieve our fundraising goal of a TigerTurf
multi-court – your assistance was essential to the awesome result.”
Hikuai School is set among beautiful
Coromandel scenery, close to the delightfully
winding Tairua River, framed by green pasture
and trees beneath the majestic Pinnacles, very
often backed by rolling rain clouds.
The Coromandel is famous for the frequent
rain that gives the area its distinctive rainforest
character. Our TigerTurf installation
teams, having often installed our sports turfs
on the peninsula, are only too familiar with the
challenging climate conditions plan for this
within our scheduling operations.
Multi-learning on brilliant TigerTurf multisports courts for schools
The once dull school court is now glowing with a rich choice of learning potential, featuring colourful educational games around the sea-blue perimeter of the fresh green central playing area, which is permanently marked for basketball, netball, tennis and a hockey “D”.
The school is now experiencing why TigerTurf Trophy is the most popular multi-surface we install into schools for ball games and general recreational use. It is extremely durable and available in a full palette of colours to create fabulous, well-used play areas.
Thorough preparation with attention to reliable drainage for all-weather surfaces
Good preparation and sound drainage are always included in our installation, especially for new sports areas. For Hikuai School, we remedied some problems on the original base, and the local community did the civil works to prepare some of the existing grassed area ready for the turf to be installed on.
The entire Hikuai community is grateful to the Grassroots Trust for the generous grant and has welcomed their all-weather TigerTurf Trophy multi-sports court, which can now be used for events and sports even in rainy climates.
