Case Studies
The TigerTurf multi-sports court for Huirangi School in Taranaki has delighted the entire local
community. The cleverly designed multi-turf includes a full-sized tennis court, with markings for basketball, netball and even a hockey pitch. The colourful court, set against the drama of Mt Taranaki, is the scene of hard-fought tournaments in the evenings and weekends, with more fun during the week for the students.
TigerTurf
Multi-Sports
Having heard positive reports of TigerTurf Trophy, the school asked us to upgrade the ageing asphalt court into its own fabulous multi-sport Trophy court – nothing but the best for the students and community of Huirangi School.
The school’s existing asphalt court was in good enough condition to use as the base for the eagerly awaited multi-purpose court, saving the school money and time with a relatively simple installation of a rather complex facility.
After 3 days, the magical multi-court was ready for action. The intricate design of colours to define the separate sports works wonderfully well. The delineating lines are colour-coded for each sport, the larger pitch is a dark olive, while the inner playing area is a brighter olive green, and a brilliant blue border frames the fabulous court – simple when you know how.
The students have a facility that encourages them to try new sports, in fact any outdoor activity is much more fun on a TigerTurf Trophy court. Soft, colourful and dry all year round, the court provides the school with a ready-made recreational playground, assembly point, outdoor class work, in fact this is a true multi-purpose area for school use, and the pupils love their vibrantly coloured court.
But it is also a serious performance sports court. As TigerTurf Trophy is ITF certified, the community shares a top quality, full-sized tennis court with the school, and, as Trophy
is one of the most durable surfaces on the market, this super multi-sports centre is going to be ready for action beyond 2030.
