Kaipara Flats School is one of only a
handful of New Zealand schools with a
TigerTurf Evo Pro sports surface for its
students and the community. That’s an
achievement the school deserves to be
proud of.
The perimeter fence was repaired, new
sports equipment was installed, and the
court was ready for action.
Rapidly increasing school rolls puts pressure on facilities
Schools all round the country are feeling the pinch as school numbers continue to rise.
And so it was at Kaipara Flats School where the school’s old asphalt court wasn’t performing well and the school felt it wasn’t safe enough for the level of demand being placed on it.
To make timetabling sports and games even more difficult, the fields were muddy and out of bounds too for most of the winter putting even further pressure on the asphalted areas.
TigerTurf was asked to replace the surface and bring the court into line with modern curriculum requirements.
