Matamata Primary School embarked on an exciting project to transform their central courtyard into a vibrant and engaging space for students. Collaborating with TigerTurf the school aimed to create an obstacle course and play area that would inspire physical activity, creativity, and social interaction.

Revitalizing Matamata Primary School's Play Area with TigerTurf

TigerTurf recently partnered with a local school to transform its playground into a vibrant and engaging space. The collaboration resulted in the creation of colourful patterns on the turf, including hopscotch, zigzags, and concentric circles. These designs not only added visual appeal but also served as interactive games for the students, turning recess into an exciting and active experience.

To ensure the playground was both durable and visually striking, TigerTurf recommended their high-quality Trophy Turf. This synthetic grass product is renowned for its longevity, vibrant colours, and soft texture, making it perfect for active play areas. Additionally, the turf’s shock-absorbing properties contribute to a safer play environment, minimizing the risk of injuries during play.

A crucial component of the installation was the inclusion of a 10mm BSW Roll Out Rubber Shock Pad, sourced from Germany. Placed beneath the Trophy Turf, this shock pad significantly enhances safety by reducing joint impact and protecting the turf’s backing from the base. The shock pad also extends the lifespan of the turf, ensuring the playground remains in excellent condition for years to come.

The combination of colourful patterns, high-quality Trophy Turf, and the BSW Roll Out Rubber Shock Pad has transformed the school playground into a safe, fun, and visually appealing environment. Students now have an interactive space that encourages physical activity and creativity, contributing to their overall well-being and enjoyment.

The revitalized courtyard immediately captured students’ attention, leading to increased engagement as they eagerly explored the obstacle course, challenged each other in the Ga Ga Pit, and revelled in the vibrant colours. Parents, teachers, and community members praised the transformation, with the courtyard becoming a point of pride for Matamata Primary School. TigerTurf’s holistic approach ensured that Matamata Primary School’s play area not only inspires creativity but also prioritizes the well-being of its students.

It is excellent for hockey* and tennis and meets the exacting standards of an FIH National category sand dressed field as well as being ITF fast paced certified. It also provides consistent performance for sports such as basketball, netball and playgrounds, as well as a brilliant multi-purpose surface suitable for general Gym use.
