An Indian Summer lawn – what’s not to love? And the students at Northcote College do love it:
the perfect spot for reading, group discussions, eating and chatting.

Education
Space is precious in today’s schools
and unusable areas are a wasted asset.
Northcote College board asked TigerTurf
to replace a struggling patch of lawn
between school buildings with a hard
wearing, all-weather turf surface. Fed up
with having dirt trodden into surrounding
classrooms from the often damp, shabby
grassed area, the school needed an
area that could be used by students all
year round for discussions, reading and
eating.
TigerTurf constructed a dynamic base over which the turf was laid. This keeps the area well-drained and resilient under all conditions. The installation had to be carefully managed as nearby classrooms were undergoing construction work – tricky, but the TigerTurf team is used to working in all kinds of situations.
Furthermore, the team worked flexible hours to accommodate the school’s timetable. The project was completed as planned, and exceeded the school’s expectations. The low maintenance and durability are just what the school ordered.
Students, staff, and the Board are delighted with their TigerTurf Indian Summer lawn: a relaxing social area for chatting, a sturdy and dry access to classrooms, and, above all, attractive year round. The groundsman is pretty happy too.
