TigerTurf collaborated with Northern Southland College in Lumsden to develop a versatile 2070m2 multi-sport court, catering to netball, tennis and hockey. The project featured TigerTurf's Advantage surface installed over a 10mm rubber pad - delivering durability, performance and comfort to support the school's wide-ranging sports programmes.

Line markings were carefully planned and applied to maximise the court’s functionality. The layout included three netball courts, four tennis courts, and hockey markings, all clearly defined to support structured play and training. To further distinguish the different sports areas, TigerTurf used a colour-coded system: olive green for netball, blue for tennis, and red for the run-off zones. This not only improved the visual clarity of the court but also added a vibrant, modern aesthetic to the school grounds.
Throughout the process, TigerTurf worked closely with the school to ensure the installation met their expectations and long-term needs. The Advantage surface, with its non-directional yarn and sand-infill design, was chosen for its ability to maintain performance in all weather conditions and under heavy use. Its hard-wearing nature and 10-year manufacturer’s warranty gave the school confidence in the investment, knowing it would support student sport for years to come.
The completed multicourt has since become a central hub for sport at Northern Southland College. Whether students are playing netball, rallying on the tennis court, or practising hockey skills, the surface provides a consistent and enjoyable experience. TigerTurf is proud to have delivered a facility that not only meets the school’s current needs but also supports the development of young athletes in the Southland region.
