Vibrantly Coloured Playground

Parnell District School has carried out an upgrade of the school grounds to give the students a safe and dry
sports area to use all year. The school particularly wanted a vibrantly coloured playground to engage the
students in outdoor activity every day, replacing the muddy winter fields, so often out of play, and the worn,
unsafe playground.

Colourful Trophy Multi-Sports Surface

Our technical TigerTurf Trophy multi-sport
surface was laid, crisply marked out for
several sports in brightly contrasting
colours and clear white lines. With fences,
hoops, goals and students added; the fun
began!

TigerTurf Trophy

TigerTurf Trophy is a dressed surface designed for
multi-sport use in schools and clubs. It is excellent for
hockey* and tennis and meets the exacting standards
of an FIH National category sand dressed field as well
as being ITF fast paced certified.
It also provides consistent performance for sports
such as basketball, netball and in playgrounds, as well
as a brilliant multi-purpose surface suitable for general
Gym use.

TigerTurf constructed a colourful Trophy multi-sports ground

Our construction team dug out the area for the new courts and built a stable, freedraining base to keep the surface in play right through the year.

The necessary consents were obtained to ensure the overhanging protected trees were not harmed, and added higher fences that would contain balls propelled by energetic students.
The plan was to replace the obsolete playground with two dedicated sports areas.

A larger sports field for kicking and hitting balls around on: football, hockey, cricket and, no doubt, just kicking goals. The plan also included an area for shooting hoops, used for training by netball and basketball teams, and for all students keen to burn up a bit of energy.

Awesome result! The school grounds have become child-magnets, with the students enjoying every kind of sport whenever they can. Engaging, inviting and increasing participation in sports and physical activity – the new sports area has been a happy success for the school.

TigerTurf Trophy multi-sport surfaces for schools TigerTurf Trophy comes in a range of bright colours and is a durable, easy-care surface offering the essential qualities for
most ball games. When installed with the correct system in place, it can also be certified by the Federation of International Hockey and by the International Tennis Federation.

Since TigerTurf began producing Trophy, this turf has been a successful multisports surface for hundreds of schools.
