Case Studies
The TigerTurf Evo Pro multi-sport facility at Pinehurst School in Auckland has had enormously positive
responses. The new turf is already encouraging the students to participate in more sports, just as the
school hoped.
TigerTurf
Education
TigerTurf Evo Pro meets all these needs,
and more. Our top of the line multi-sport
turf, it is recognised as a superb hockey
surface with national accreditation by the
Federation of International Hockey (FIH). It
also meets the criteria for the All England
Netball Association (AENA) – a major
consideration, as over 120 students play
netball on Saturdays, and practise during
the week.
TigerTurf Evo Pro is a fantastic surface
for tennis too. Being extremely durable, it
is excellent for club and school use, and
coveted by keen tennis players for home
courts.
All sports activities can take place in one sports centre
The school’s existing worn, slippery acrylic courts had served students well for tennis and netball in dry weather, but were not suitable for other sports or PE classes. Our TigerTurf Business Development Manager suggested that a full-size hockey pitch could be installed by extending the base and adding a high density pad supporting the existing courts.
Pinehurst School now has 6 netball courts, 6 tennis courts and a full-size hockey pitch for play up to an international level. As a bonus, this versatile surface is excellent for other sports and general PE activities too.
Multi-sports centres reduce costs for schools and clubs
With only one set of minimal running costs, the school no longer has to hire a hockey pitch for practices and games. For schools and community facilities, Evo Pro is unparalleled as a multi-sport surface that maximises the use of shared sports facilities.
It also enables clubs to boost funds by hiring the venue, by increasing the number of members and by sharing
the costs of the facility.
