Multi-Coloured Splendour

Overnight, the playground at the centre of the Royal Oak Primary School burst into dazzling life, emerging from the grey
chrysalis of the existing asphalt in multi-coloured splendour. This is the fourth project TigerTurf has completed for the
school, and we have enjoyed them all. The excitement of the students as we finished the cricket wickets, the junior cycle and
scooter track, and the senior courts was, as always, immensely satisfying.

Multi-use School Playgrounds And Courts By TigerTurf

Vibrant red, blue, green and yellow define
a range of sports and games in the new
Royal Oak Primary School playground. The
radient red court is marked up for tennis and
netball; the brilliant blue court is marked for
netball and basketball.
The school wanted to bring the heart of
the school to life – and that’s what we’ve
achieved. The vivid colours of the two multisports
courts, the blue, green and yellow
four-square courts, and clear bright colours
of hopscotch designs engage the students
throughout the school day.
The activities make good use of the whole
playground. The new playground can be
used for assemblies, recreation, outdoor
teaching and PE.

TigerTurf Trophy

TigerTurf Trophy is a dressed surface designed for
multi-sport use in schools and clubs. It is excellent for
hockey* and tennis and meets the exacting standards
of an FIH National category sand dressed field as well
as being ITF fast paced certified.
It also provides consistent performance for sports
such as basketball, netball and in playgrounds, as well
as a brilliant multi-purpose surface suitable for general
Gym use.

Remarkable Improvement

Safety concerns are paramount during TigerTurf installations

As the playground is at the centre of the school, surrounded by classrooms and used by students in moving around the school, we worked hard to complete the project during the holidays. Security fencing isolated the work areas, and vehicle movements were restricted at key times of the day. Our teams are well trained in safe practices, and our managers check frequently for hazards.
