Somerville Intermediate School

TigerTurf was delighted to be invited to replace the sports turf we originally installed at Somerville Intermediate ten years ago with a new TigerTurf Advantage multi-sport turf surface.
The new surface is now clearly marked for hockey, tennis, netball and futsal, with a two-lane running track around the perimeter. A welcome upgrade well used by the school and the local community alike. Bright red, blue and two-tone green colours were used to modernise the space and highlight the courts.

Improving the existing base ready for the TigerTurf Advantage Turf.

During the school term, we teamed up with the school to hash out a safe plan that kept things running smoothly. Safety was our top priority, so we made sure heavy machinery moved around during class whenever we could. Once we ripped out the old sports turf, our TigerTurf crew got to work improving drainage and leveling the base. We compacted it and sealed it with TigerBond to make sure it was rock-solid. And then, the big moment arrived! We rolled out the shiny new sports turf over the revamped base, all set for some serious action.

Nestled against an olive-green backdrop, five sapphire-blue multi-sports courts pop with vibrancy, hugged by a lush green border. Adding to the allure is a trendy two-lane running track in a cozy terracotta hue, creating a lively design that marks the triumph of TigerTurf’s involvement. The burst of colors at the TigerTurf Advantage sports center mirrors the excitement radiating from students as they enthusiastically embrace their fantastic new courts, injecting a fresh dose of energy into school life.

TigerTurf Advantage is an outstanding tennis and multi-sport surface that encourages players at the top of their game to extend themselves even further, while developing players can more readily improve their skills on this technical tennis turf. TigerTurf Advantage is also an excellent surface within the Gym environment. Its hard wearing characteristics make it ideal for resistance training, high impact and indoor field sports.
