In July 2025, TigerTurf completed a 630-square-metre multi-court installation at St Benedict’s School in Wellington, working in collaboration with Tracer Construction. The goal was to deliver a durable, all-weather surface that could support a range of sports and activities, while also enhancing the school’s outdoor environment. The final result was a vibrant, dual-marked netball and basketball court featuring a blue inner playing area framed by an olive green outer zone—both functional and visually appealing.

Following the base preparation, a 10mm rubber pad was installed. This layer adds shock absorption and enhances player comfort, reducing impact stress during active play. It also contributes to the overall resilience of the court system, helping to extend the life of the surface. Over the pad, TigerTurf’s Trophy surface was laid to complete the installation. Trophy is a sand-dressed synthetic turf designed for multi-sport use, offering consistent ball response and firm traction underfoot. It’s accredited for netball, tennis, and hockey, making it an ideal choice for schools looking to maximise the versatility of their outdoor spaces.
The court was finished with clear line markings for both netball and basketball, allowing the school to host a variety of sports without needing separate facilities. The colour scheme—blue for the inner court and olive green for the outer—was selected to create a visually distinct playing area that also complements the surrounding environment.
TigerTurf’s partnership with Tracer Construction ensured a smooth and efficient process from start to finish. By combining a well-prepared base with high-performance surfacing products, the team delivered a multi-use court that meets the needs of St Benedict’s School both now and into the future. The result is a safe, durable, and attractive space that encourages active play and supports the school’s commitment to student wellbeing and physical education.
