TigerTurf is on the hunt for a new Plant Production Engineer super star.

Working for a true New Zealand brand, a New Zealand born business gone global. TigerTurf are the market leading brand in artificial surfaces for sports, recreation, and landscape across New Zealand. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team who will ensure that all machinery and equipment at TigerTurf manufacturing plant runs smoothly and reliably, supporting efficient and safe production of high-quality synthetic grass.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the reliability of the plant by identifying critical risks and planning scheduled maintenance for factory machines and equipment.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks and manage external contractors, ensuring adherence to company procedures. Additionally, they maintain adequate stock of critical parts and materials and identify maintenance tasks suitable for operators, making recommendations to the Production Manager for implementation.
  • Conducts prompt breakdown response diagnosis and repairs, engages and manages external contractors on site while ensuring adherence to company procedures, and troubleshoots and rectifies faults resulting from mechanical equipment failures.
  • Responsibilities include setting machines for various product lines, supporting machine operators with technical assistance and training, engaging in improvement projects, recommending equipment upgrades, and overseeing project management and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Responsibilities include identifying health and safety risks, upgrading equipment for safe operator use and compliance with legislation, ensuring safety in all maintenance activities, reporting incidents, investigating causes, and implementing prevention measures, and ensuring adherence to EHS&R standards with best practices and processes.
  • The role involves working as part of the broader TigerTurf team, offering engineering support as necessary, and assisting with production-related tasks during periods of holiday or sickness absences when needed.

 

About you:

  • NZ Residency/Citizenship
  • Trade Qualification (level 4 mechanical engineer or Trade Qualified fitter/turner)
  • Min 3 years experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Clean full NZ Driver License
  • Current fork hoist certificate with ‘F’ endorsement
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure
  • Outstanding communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Promotes a high standard of safety
  • Excellent computer skills including Windows, Word, Excel, and file management
  • Have a passion on maintaining and improving older equipment and machinery

Applicants will be residing in New Zealand and have current Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
