Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club, providing its members with eight playing courts in total, Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club boasts five artificial grass courts, and three lawn/natural grass courts. However, after over 10 years of service to the local players, the existing artificial grass surface on two of the courts came to its end and was in need of replacing.

With member satisfaction and added value a key focus, the committee decided to give members the opportunity to play test a number of the different surfaces. The club soon found that the majority of its members favoured TigerTurf’s Advantage Pro artificial grass, and so the decision was made to renew the two worn out courts accordingly. The club employed tennis court construction specialists, Chiltern Sports Contractors, to install TigerTurf’s Advantage Pro in July 2017.

Since then, members have been praising the improved playability of the court, with Advantage Pro boasting consistent bounce, while remaining soft underfoot. This makes it suitable for players of all levels of experience, from the most advanced, to the very beginner.

With Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club’s courts being situated outside and in use for six to eight hours a day, Advantage Pro is also ideal as it is extremely durable and drains freely and quickly. In fact, the unique yarn used has been specifically designed so that it doesn’t shine when wet, or under floodlights, meaning the courts can be used come rain or shine.

“However, what’s even better about this installation is that we were able to include our members in the decision process. It’s safe to say they are loving it and the Advantage Pro artificial grass courts are proving a very popular addition to Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club.”
