Pike Fold Primary School

Evo Pro brightens up the playground for a Manchester based school who wanted their students to make the most of outdoor spaces.

Pike Fold Primary School had an old macadam playground which was aging, dull and impractical. It was uninviting and didn’t inspire the children to play sports as much as the school would have liked.

Tired of their existing surface, the school contacted Synthetic Turf Management (STM), an expert in artificial grass installation and maintenance. STM were more than happy to take on the challenge  to make the playground more inviting and fun for the children to make use of.

The surface required needed to be suitable for a range of sports and be hard wearing due to heavy footfall.. TigerTurf Evo Pro was selected as the product of choice, with its 18mm pile height, Evo Pro offers un-rivalled durability and playability suitable to support a range of sports within a busy school environment.

The school specifically asked for a for a running track and lines for football and basketball.. STM achieved this by cutting in Evo Pro lines in a range of different colours.. Paired with a 5mm rubber shock pad, the whole system created a safe and fun environment for the children of Pike Fold School.

The surface is now being used before school, during PE lessons and during break times. The school can also provide a wider variety of sports and after school clubs because of their new surface.
