The Class of ’92 unveil the latest UK Cruyff Court

The Class of '92 Cruyff Court

On Saturday 18th March, the UK’s latest Cruyff Court opened in Salford, Manchester.

Foundation 92 partnered with The Johan Cruyff Foundation, For Housing, Salford City Council and CommUNITY Little Hulton to open the Class of ’92 Court. Revealed by former Manchester United teammates, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Jordi Cruyff, based in Little Hulton, Salford, the new court will bolster Foundation 92’s commitment to delivering football, sport and physical activity sessions in the area and serve as a community space for those who live locally.

Built by Reech Sports, the Class of ’92 court is a state-of-the-art facility using TigerTurf’s NRG, a dense and durable multi-sport surface that doesn’t require SBR infill, only sand. TigerTurf are proud to supply artificial grass systems for UK Cruyff Courts through the Foundation’s longstanding partnership with our parent company, TenCate Grass.

Cruyff Courts were developed by the Cruyff Foundation to provide safe, all-access community hubs that encourage members of the local community to develop through sport. There are approximately 300 Cruyff Courts globally, 21 of which located in the UK. The Cruyff Foundation have committed to doubling the number of courts in the UK by the end of year, continuing with their steadfast dedication to enabling and encouraging children to get outdoors and play!
