The Ecocept base is made from recycled rubber (old car tyres) and end of life plastic. These components are ground down and refined into pellets which are then processed into an innovative porous pavement. TigerTurf ECOCEPTTM is an innovative new type of porous pavement specifically developed by our parent company, TenCate Grass to be used under synthetic turf sports playing surfaces. It integrates seamlessly with TigerTurf’s synthetic turf products enhancing biomechanical properties, improving drainage and reducing traditional base construction techniques reducing cost and environmental impact. Ecocept™ has been especially designed to withstand the hardest pounding, but still be kind on players. Its shock absorbency can be tailored to meet any sporting requirements, including FIFA and IRB standards.
