TigerTurf Evo Pro was chosen by the Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association to replace the existing hockey surface, now thirteen years old. The Association diligently undertook research to form detailed comparisons of the best hockey surfaces in play. It was seeking not only the best possible hockey surface, but one that would retain its excellent playing qualities for many years. The other consideration was that the surface had to be the star of a high performance hockey pitch while enduring the harsh conditions experienced at Kalgoorlie.
A dressed surface with similar performance qualities to our other star hockey product, TigerTurf WETT Pro, Evo Pro is especially suited to dry climates, where irrigation is expensive for hockey clubs. These surfaces are the products of years of research and testing by our London Research and Development team, which worked closely with top international hockey advisors to design a hockey surface that enhances the advanced playing techniques of the world’s top hockey players. The monofilament yarn used in the production of TigerTurf Evo Pro is one of the reasons for its durability, outlasting any other hockey turf on the market.
Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association was especially pleased to entrust the installation of the Evo Pro hockey surface to TigerTurf as a partner of Hockey Australia. The local association had worked closely with Hockey Australia in hosting the Hockeyroos during the test match series against Japan in 2015. As a keen supporter of Australian hockey, TigerTurf was proud to work with the Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association on this outstanding project, and will be following the association’s progress with interest.
The Association will now be successfully hosting many more national and international test matches on its splendid TigerTurf Evo Pro pitch at Kalgoorlie.
