TigerTurf undertook a full build for the new futsal court at Aitken College, Greenvale, in Victoria. The old asphalt courts were well and truly dead – long live the new courts!
Resplendent in bright green TigerTurf Endurance Play, clearly marked in white for futsal, the new court’s splash of emerald colour is a refreshing oasis in dry summer heat. In winter, it drains quickly, remaining playable, and allows PE programmes to progress according to plan. The teachers and students appreciate their new facility, which is already popular with the students.
The futsal court was the third artificial turf project TigerTurf has completed for Aitken College; useable space is a valuable asset all schools are keen to take advantage of. The futsal court is alongside a new school building, and now complements it beautifully.
During construction of the court, TigerTurf team pointed out that an untidy and unused area adjacent to the court could become a landscaped turf lawn to complete the fresh clean look, and would be a great place for children to have lunch, enjoy outdoor classwork or simply socialise during breaks.
The school was happy with this proposal, and now the students can have fun on the TigerTurf Endurance Play courts or chill out on the soft, clean lawn, which has been landscaped with TigerTurf Summer Envy. Summer Envy closely resembles a natural grass lawn, with a warm summer tinge. Soft and fast draining, it is a popular low-maintenance synthetic lawn turf for
schools, homes, and commercial sites.
The TigerTurf Endurance Play sports surface has been designed as a multisport turf, so Aitken College can extend the court’s use to include several other sports.
Teachers will appreciate not having to monitor footwear on the hard-wearing turf surface, which has been manufactured from our high quality XP Pro yarn. TigerTurf Endurance Play carries TenCate’s unlimited play-durability warranty – very reassuring for schools.
