The colourful TigerTurf Tournament multi-sport courts that are now the centre of activity for students at Corowa Public School were once unsightly and unused.

Education
Corowa Public School needed to do something about the broken, uneven concrete courts at the front of the school. The school needed a safe, level sports area for the children to use for all their outdoor activities, including PE and sports practices, throughout the school year.
TigerTurf explained that our multi-sport turfs would offer enormous benefits for the school, making the courts the focus of every outdoor activity. Before the installation the courts were no longer usable, and were unsightly, as well as too dangerous for PE classes, especially when wet. They spoilt the look of the school, being on the street front as well as surrounded by classrooms.
The brief was to rebuild this area as bright, functional multi-sport courts at the heart of the school to attract the young students, who had energy to burn. The work required included base repairs to the surface of the old courts, which had been neglected for years, before the fun of installing the fresh new surface could begin.
Now the courts provide a reliable and cheerful play area, set amongst classrooms and gum trees. The cool blue basketball and netball courts have terracotta insets for bat tennis, and the
new courts are very popular with the students before and after school, for class sports and for playtime.
The brightly coloured surfaces are much more fun at playtime. Even after rain the courts are now safe for play, and offer a comfortable area to sit and chat when the children eventually do run out of steam.
Shouts of laughter and encouragement arise from the perpetual motion on the busy courts, enlivening the once grey, empty space.
