About the role
This is a great opportunity to become a highly skilled operator with an industry leader. TigerTurf’s head office is based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne however, this role requires significant travel and living away from home for extended periods. To balance this there are rewards which are reflected in the potential take home salary, taking into consideration the various penalties and allowances, along with becoming a specialist in a global niche industry. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be within the Lawn Bowls division as a key team member which is responsible for delivering all our synthetic turf lawn bowls projects throughout Melbourne, regional Victoria, and interstate.
This is a great opportunity to become highly skilled in a specialised field. You will be a key member in a close-knit team with a good work ethic. Good communication and a willingness to work is a must. In return you will be taught by industry experts and become an industry expert yourself.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General labouring
- Base preparation
- Installation of synthetic turf and woven surfaces
- Surface repairs
- Keeping all tools and equipment clean and in good order
Skills and Requirements
- Previous experience is not required, but you will need the following:
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Prepared to work away for extended periods including weekends as required
- Self-Motivated, organized, physically fit
- Be able to follow instructions and work autonomously
- Friendly can-do attitude
- High attention to detail
- Must have a valid current driver’s license
- Construction Industry White Card – or prepared to gain certification
- Working with children – or able and prepared to gain certification
- Applicants with the following experience will be highly regarded:
- Synthetic turf installation, civil/construction, or landscaping experience
- Experience operating relevant equipment and machinery is an advantage i.e. Dingo’s, Rollers, Laser Grading equipment etc…
If you are an experienced synthetic turf installer it will be an advantage however, if you have experience with civil construction or landscaping and are looking for your next career step, we are willing to train the right person for the role.
