Aberfeldie Bowling Club celebrated its fabulous TigerWeave Green in style on opening day. The magnificent TigerWeave green was given a warm welcome by the Aberfeldie Bowling Club as the players relished the superb playing conditions they experienced on their first-class green.

The Aberfeldie Bowling Club has developed close links within its community since being established in 1910. The bowlers have always welcomed new members to the club warmly and recently welcomed their new green just as enthusiastically. Every player was keen to discover the special features offered by the technical advantages woven into the surface of this TigerWeave green.
The TigerTurf construction team removed the old needlepunch green and restructured the base using the existing drainage, which was still functional. The free-draining base material we brought in was laser-levelled to support a true roll and consistent speed on the bowling surface. To avoid any movement of loose material beneath the surface, we bonded the top of the base with TigerBond before installing the new underlay
We placed an underlay beneath the TigerWeave green to add comfort for players during long hours of play, and to maintain the performance of the green surface over an extended playing life.
We cleared the site and presented the magnificent TigerWeave green to the club on time, ready for the grand opening and for those keen club bowlers to celebrate their well-earned first day of play.
