Greensborough Hockey Club firmly believes that its first TigerTurf Evo Pro hockey pitch installation is of a top quality dressed-surface in Victorian Premier League hockey. TigerTurf installed the Evo Pro artificial grass surface on the first Greensborough hockey field in 2009. The club players have since come to appreciate its superb playing qualities and performance durability.
As one of the most successful clubs in the state, with the largest membership, the club wanted the new hockey surface to be one of the top hockey fields in Victoria. TigerTurf Evo Pro, an exceptional synthetic surface for hockey, features the same advanced monofilament yarn technology used in our premium WETT Pro hockey surface. A high performance technical hockey surface, it also has a longer playing life than most other synthetic hockey surfaces on the market at present. Greensborough Club was prepared to invest in a hockey surface with outstanding playing qualities as they knew from experience that a TigerTurf Evo Pro hockey field was going to stand the test of time.
The TigerTurf installation team removed the old playing surface and pad, and installed the Evo Pro synthetic hockey turf over a new shock pad to lessen the impact of hard play on players’ joints and legs. The entire installation was smooth process and the projected was completed two weeks earlier than expected.
Now that the club has two international standard pitches, they are able to host more tournaments. Equally important, the club’s many junior players now have two perfect surfaces on which to advance their skills.
