Monbulk Rangers was putting time into selecting the best soccer surface for the new sports facility commissioned by the Yarra Ranges Shire Council. The project naturally required a long planning process to make sure the new sports centre did justice to the many sports enthusiasts in the community for the next few decades.
During the consultation process, TigerTurf noted the client’s objectives for the new soccer pitches; 1. Two high performance soccer pitches were to be installed. 2. The best synthetic surface was needed to host tournaments at every level. 3. The club has an extensive membership that is expected to grow. 4. The pitches would be heavily used for skills and fitness training. 5. The Yarra Council and Monbulk soccer club were prepared to invest in high performance, durable surfaces.

Monbulk Rangers asked for the best soccer surface for high levels of play. TigerTurf Endurance 60 is designed and tested to meet FIFA 1 Star international standards and carries a five-year unlimited play durability warranty.
This specialised soccer surface is manufactured using the TenCate XP Blade+ yarn. The warranty is backed by TenCate, the international yarn manufacturer producing the top level yarn used in our TigerTurf performance sports systems.
The warranty is reassuring for clubs who invest in a top level surface. This surface can be played on in soccer or football boots as well as flat-soled shoes – a beneficial feature when managing community fields.
An outstanding soccer facility for the Monbulk community
The Monbulk Rangers Soccer Club now has two full-sized TigerTurf Endurance 60 football pitches, with a warm-up area between the two fields, in a picturesque setting amongst the gum trees on the hills of Monbulk.
The pitches will be tested for FIFA 1 Star certification in the near future, and certainly meet the players’ high expectations already in terms of performance and looks. The Yarra Rangers Shire Council wanted surety that the surface could play at the highest standards and stand up to the heavy use expected by the club members.
