The Narrogin Story

Key Partnership with Hockey Australia

Key Partnership with Hockey Australia

TigerTurf is a key partner of Hockey Australia, and our hockey surfaces have a tremendous reputation throughout the hockey fraternity. With this recommendation, the Upper Great Southern Hockey Association had full confidence in asking TigerTurf to replace the existing synthetic surface at Narrogin with our top-level WETT Pro hockey turf.

TigerTurf Wett Pro

TigerTurf WETT Pro system has been tested to current FIH (Federation International Hockey) Global standards Providing longer life expectancy than any other product on the market TigerTurf has developed the WETT Pro surface using advanced fibre technology exclusive to TigerTurf. The unique texturised monofilament yarn ensures a grain free playing surface which means the ball and stick travels smoothly in all direction.

Rewarding Outcome

TigerTurf WETT Pro is manufactured from a texturised monofilament developed at the TenCate research centre. The technology behind this fibre has produced a grain-free playing surface, allowing the ball to travel smoothly in all directions, and the players to move their sticks across the surface without noticeable dragging. As a bonus, TigerTurf WETT Pro hockey pitches can be used wet or dry, and have a longer playing life than any other synthetic turf product.

The Association needed a world-class hockey pitch that would meet the FIH global standard and, now the WETT Pro is in use, it has proved to be everything the Association had hoped for. The members of the Association put a great deal of effort into planning and raising the funds for this project, including a grant from the department of Sport and Recreation.
TigerTurf is very happy that the project has been a resounding success for the Upper Great Southern Hockey Association and the Narrogin hockey teams.
