TigerTurf was called in to resurface the unused, granitic sand court that wasn’t safe for play. The construction team set to work and turned unloved into much loved. More importantly for the school, an unusable asset became multi-functional, is a brilliant improvement to the look of the school grounds and is in constant use by the students. The community, too, shares the love and enjoys weekend tournaments – the TigerTurf Tournament 1000 multi-sport surface is the successful project the principal had requested from us.
As part of our preparation for the transformation of the wasted school asset into a popular multi-functional and irresistible sports centre, we cleared away the existing wire fence, built a granitic sand base and installed the fresh turf surface. Then we installed a new portable tennis net and reversible towers – no wonder the TigerTurf court has become a colourful, fun-filled student magnet.

The bright all-weather synthetic court surface has clear markings for tennis, basketball, netball and volleyball – enduring favourites with schools and their communities for many good years. And best of all, the TigerTurf Tournament 1000 surface is durable, with all the right qualities for the planned sports and many others. A dry, level surface, it will be excellent for general recreation games and events, PE classes, spontaneous games at lunchtimes and break as well as more formal team practices and competitions.
The partnership between the construction and installation team and school has been delightful throughout the process, and we have taken great pleasure in seeing the students engrossed in their play on this carefully designed multi-sports court.
