Warwick Hockey Centre were looking for a surface that not only offered exceptional playing qualities but one that was going to maximise the life of the insitu pad that it was to be installed on. The answer was simple Greenfields TX hockey surface.
TigerTurf installed a Greenfields TX surface for the new hockey pitch at the Warwick Hockey Centre. The club were looking for a watered hockey surface that offered a high performance game. The investment has paid off with the Warwick Hockey Centre being awarded two test matches of a five-match test series between the Hockeyroos and Spain on 18 and 21 January 2018. The Test series will form crucial preparation for the Hockeyroos ahead of next year’s Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in April. The club were looking for a hockey surface that would be easily lifted when it came to replacing it and be laid over the existing shock pad.
As the Greenfields TX surface is a looselaid hockey surface it can be easily lifted to allow resurfacing. The club players had played on a Greenfields TX surface at the Perth Hockey Centre and found it offered an excellent playing experience. It seemed to them an excellent choice for the hockey pitch at the newly constructed Warwick Hockey Centre.
The vivid blue Greenfields hockey turf is ready for play in the splendid new purpose-built sports facility built for the Warwick Hockey Club. This includes magnificent clubrooms, the new blue hockey turf and two grass fields, and is rated as one of the best hockey facilities in Australia.
