TigerTurf are the UK’s Premier Artificial Grass Manufacturer. We design and produce synthetic grass sports fields for the UK, Europe and Middle East markets.
We are looking for new Apprentices to join our tufting team in Hartlebury.
What you will do in your working day
- To correctly store, handle and scan palletised bobbins of artificial turf yarn in accordance with Production Order details and QC standards to/from T1 – T9 creels using a range of associated supplementary items of work equipment incl. hand tools
- Operate T1 – T9 tufting machines to produce trollies of semi-finished tufted product in accordance with Production Order details, QC standards, Technical Specification using a range of associated supplementary items of work equipment, including replacement of consumable parts
- Use mechanical handling equipment to move pallets and trollies of semi-finished product
- The tuning, testing and major maintenance of tufting machines, using a range of associated supplementary items of work equipment
- FLT Operator (forks and boom attachment) incl. daily inspection and use of the external LPG re-filling station. Use pallet scales, pallet wrapper and baler
- Deputise for Production Supervisor duties during periods of absence and train other Production Operatives
- To maintain excellent standards of housekeeping and waste management
- Fulfil all duties and responsibilities in accordance with company protocol (e.g. policies, handbooks, risk assessments, standard operating procedures, work instruction, toolbox talks, training, instruction, supervision, company values), proactively contribute in meetings and professional development opportunities to continually improve skills, competence and knowledge of self and others
The training you will be getting
- LEAN Manufacturing Operative Level 2 apprenticeship
- Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)
- No Day Release
- Functional Skills Maths & English if required
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Full time position for the right apprentice on completion.
